Palafitte is involve in sustainability

The Palafitte Hotel is an invitation to live to the enchanting rhythm of nature. A strong bond has been forged between the hotel and the local community, driven by the beauty and exceptionality of this site in perfect communion with the lake. Built on the occasion of the Swiss National Exhibition in 2002, with the aim of arousing the interest of spectators from all over the world, it remains one of the last testimonies of this.

Today, it offers its guests a haven of peace that invites both rest and serenity, a place where the connection with nature is immediate. It is also a reminder of the history of this territory, where archaeologists have found traces of the first houses built on stilts, also called "Palafittes". Here, a life-size platform for raising awareness of the concept of sustainability takes shape.

Our employees are continuously encouraged to implement new initiatives and to participate in local projects. As proof of this commitment, a sustainability project manager has joined our team to help further our developments within all six Sandoz Foundation Hotels.

Below you will find a summary of some of the major projects launched at the Palafitte Hotel. Behind the scenes, our many initiatives play an important role in the overall sustainability experience we aim to offer our guests.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, we would be delighted to hear them.
